‘Exquisite Eastern Dance’ lights up Shafer Auditorium
Yanlai Dance Academy visits Allegheny
Members of Pittsburgh’s Yanlai Dance Academy performed on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2018, in Allegheny College’s Shafer Auditorium.
The performance included traditional Chinese dances, as well as dances from Southeast Asian, Mongolian and Uyghur cultures. Sponsored by Allegheny College’s Chinese American Friendship Society, Department of Modern and Classical Languages, International Education Office, Chinese studies program and dance and movement studies program, the performance was tited, “Exquisite Eastern Dance,” and featured Jasmine Blossoms and Moonlit Night, among other numbers.
