Snow more Mr. Nice Sky

Kaleigh White, Opinion Editor April 21, 2022

In the opening line of T.S. Eliot’s most famous poem “The Waste Land,” he states that “April is the cruelest month.” While this is often taken out of context (as I am doing so here), I believe...

Colors, identity and adulthood

Kaleigh White, Opinion Editor April 15, 2022

Colors are something that we do not usually think much about, but would surely notice the absence of. When we are young, a lot of emphasis is placed on the idea of a “favorite color.” As we age, it...

Is Batman a furry?

Kaleigh White, Opinion Editor April 7, 2022

I would not categorize myself as a “fan” of DC Comics, or of DC superhero movies. While I am a Marvel fanatic, I have just never been into DC movies the way I am Marvel movies. Part of me wishes I...

Winter is the worst

Kaleigh White, Opinion Editor March 3, 2022

I have never been a particularly outdoorsy person. Growing up in northwestern Pennsylvania, I did of course spend a lot of time outdoors, but it was never really my thing. I did play outside with my siblings...

Disability, Christmas cheer, and vigilantism

Kaleigh White, Opinion Editor January 27, 2022

While Marvel Studios’ “Hawkeye” may have the lowest ratings of any of their Disney+ TV shows, I have to say that it is one of my favorites thus far. Initially, I was unsure how they would make an...

The 2021 Tony Awards: reaction and response

Kaleigh White, Opinion editor October 8, 2021

The Tony Awards took place on Sept. 26 for the first time since 2019. For any uncultured people who live under a rock, the Tony Awards are the awards given for Broadway musicals and plays. They highlight...

“Monsters at Work” and post-grad anxieties

Kaleigh White, Opinion editor September 24, 2021

As a senior theatre major, I have been giving a lot of thought to my post-grad plans. When I do, I often end up paralyzed with anxiety and give up after an hour or so. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Broadway...

Beehives added to Robertson

Kaleigh White, Opinion Editor May 6, 2021

A small number of beehives were added to Robertson Athletic Complex during the week of April 26. The beehives are the result of a series of internships and independent studies done by students in the past...

A review of “WandaVision”

Kaleigh White, Opinion editor March 19, 2021

When WandaVision began, I was extremely skeptical. I immediately understood that it was referencing the popular sitcom “I Love Lucy,” but I did not understand why. Later, the episode became very reminiscent...

The best pizza places in Crawford County

Kaleigh White, Opinion Editor March 5, 2021

Although we cannot leave campus at this time, once the campus quarantine is lifted, there will once again be an overwhelming desire for off-campus pizza. Students will be flooding Domino’s with online...

Valentine’s Day is tacky and useless

Kaleigh White, Opinion editor February 25, 2021

Of all the useless holidays we celebrate in America, I think Valentine’s Day is hands-down the worst of the bunch.  This is in comparison to holidays such as Drinking Straw Day, Dress Up Your Pet...

Why do independent artists charge so much?

Kaleigh White, Opinion writer February 6, 2021

Being an independent artist is hard. It is hard to be successful, actually make money, gain respect and be treated like a professional. Whether an artist sells artisan goods on Etsy, Facebook Marketplace...

Ask a Gator: Email

Kaleigh White, Features Editor September 10, 2020

Sending emails is not as common in high school as it is in college. In high school, you really only ever needed to email teachers if they asked you to send them an assignment, and even then, that did not...

Ask a Gator: Organization

Kaleigh White, Features Editor September 3, 2020

The transition from high school to college can be stressful. Many of us come from schools where we can sleep our way through classes and still graduate with high honors, so coming to a school that is rumored...

Opinion: What we want isn’t what we need

Kaleigh White, Features Editor May 11, 2020

I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. It is a common disorder that many people have and don’t realize, due to the seemingly commonplace symptoms. The best way to describe a person with OCD, in a general...
