Pokey Heartburn and the Phantom Pain, the most recent Yellowcard cover band to surface outside any 14-year-old’s tear-stained notebook, has taken the campus by storm.

The cover band, from land-locked Des Moines, Idaho, recaptures the ocean breeze of Yellowcard’s hits off “Ocean Avenue” with their new hit single, “Ocean Avenue.”

PHATPP doesn’t perform with Yellowcard’s signature violinist. The cover band also lacks a drummer and a singer. Each member plays the electric guitar.

“Ocean Avenue” takes us back to the brilliant melodies and heartfelt lyrics that made Yellowcard such a crucial contribution to today’s music industry.
