Despite earlier reports that the manhunt was called off, state troopers were still searching for Keith Green, the man who had campus on lockdown all day, this evening in the vicinity of the college campus.
The suspect had not been located as of 11:35 p.m., according to Meadville City Police.
Police headed to Vale St. off of Allegheny St. around 10:2o p.m. with a tow truck. They searched backyards of Baldwin and Allegheny Streets.
They had fled down Allegheny St. to Beers Ave. near Prospect St. and then onto Baldwin St., searching for the suspect through residential backyards around 10:15 p.m.
Previously, the police officers with flashlights patrolled the area of Robertson Field and Ben Avon St. around 10 p.m.
Reports indicate that police are using eyewitness reports as well as dogs to track Green.

Police, patrolling the edge of the forest around 8:30 p.m. at the corner of Hamilton Rd and Limber Rd, confirmed that they were searching for Green but refused to comment further.
Reports on Twitter of Green fleeing to the parking lot of Allegheny Commons appear to be false.
Green set off a panic earlier today when he fled arrest for charges pertaining to a shooting and drug possession in Ashtabula County, Ohio.
His flight onto campus sparked a campus alert and a lockdown.
Green forcefully entered a home on Loomis Street before escaping and purportedly heading north, past Allegheny Commons to an area near the Crawford County Fairgrounds.
Police purportedly called the manhunt around 5 p.m. this evening, but police continue to patrol near the scene.
