During the dress rehearsal on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, Simon Brown, ’19, and Mary Lyon, ’17, perform a scene in “Luna Gale.” The play was written by playwright Rebecca Gilman and directed by Mark Cosdon, associate professor of communication arts and theatre, and tells the story of a social worker trying to help decide whether a child’s primary caregiver should be her drug-addicted teenage parents or her grandmother. The dilemma poses contemporary social issues involving family secrets, faith and beliefs, sexual abuse and the social welfare system.
