Lyra Lindsay, ’27, passed first confirmation to be Co-Director of Student Affairs, a currently vacant cabinet position when Allegheny Student Government met Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Cabinet Reports
Director of the Treasury Dominic Juliana, ’27, reported the budget for this week. Total expenses were recorded as $4,713.37, with $1,720.50 going to Ski & Snowboard Club for a trip.
Director of Diversity and Inclusion Kaleialoha Froning, ’25, reported the “Being Alive Well” indigenous programming was a success.
Director of Community Relations Hunter Goerman, ’25 reported to the cabinet that Fourth Graders as Scientists would be on campus this Friday, Feb. 21, as well as March 14th and 28th.
Attorney General Chezka Quinola, ’27, reminded all to submit candidacy applications for ASG president by next Tuesday. Henderson Campus Center tabling will begin this week to engage students in the process.
Class Senate Reports
Class of 2025 events are being planned, according to Sen. Akari Brown
While giving the class of 2026 report by, Iris Styers gave a shoutout to the class of 2027 for a good combination event on valentines. The process of purchasing pins is ongoing and the committee is meeting with the class dean weekly going forward to Junior Appreciation Week.
The class of 2027 report by Liam Shields also noted that the valentines day event went well and thanks the class of 2026 for the coordination.
The class of 2027 is finalizing the volleyball event. Signups will take place next week.
A St. Patrick’s Day event is being planned by the class of 2028. The report was given by George Asante; Tabling will be done twice before spring break to inform students about it.
Budgetary requests and a meeting with dining officials have been scheduled for this week.
