– It is announced that Dr. Lawrence Lee Pelletier will be inaugurated as Allegheny College president on May 11.
– At 8:15 p.m. in Ford Chapel, Louis Fischer gave a speech on Soviet foreign policy
– Local fraternity chapters on campus submitted a proposal for a multi-fraternity house, located on the “plot above George Street.” This was meant to help alleviate housing concerns happening on campus.
April 12, 1977
– In an editorial written by staff members, The Campus calls out its critics, encouraging them to actually do something about the paper’s quality rather than complaining. The editor encourages students, faculty, and staff alike to either apply to help create the paper or share their opinions with the paper professionally, rather than just gossiping on campus.
– WARC plans on creating a survey to be distributed amongst students to create a new, revised program guide.
– It is announced that the Playshop Theatre is going to be performing “Bus Stop,” a play by William Inge. The performance was announced to begin on April 28 in Arter Hall.

– It is announced that an anonymous donor gave money to renowned artist Danny Lane to create a piece of artwork for Allegheny College. The artwork, inspired by Lane’s “Pantheon,” is located now at Allegheny’s Senior Circle, though Lane had expressed interest in spaces near Pelletier Library.
– In a Letter To the Editor, A5 president writes to the campus body, announcing the theft of A5 decorations from the Henderson Campus Center.
– On Friday, classical Indian musician Shafaatullah Khan performed in Quigley Hall for almost three hours.

– ASG announces its resolutions and future Town Halls in The Campus, encouraging students to participate and give their feedback on their ideas.
– A lunar eclipse will be visible in the early hours of April 15 in the Western Hemisphere.
