Danielle Linder, head coach of both the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams, resigned Tuesday after three seasons.
Instead of returning after a successful season, she will be attending graduate school in the fall.
Linder’s arrival was marked by renewed success for both teams, with the women going 21–4 in dual meets and the men 15–20. This past season’s fifth place finish at the NCAC meet was the highest finish for the men since the 1999–2000 season.
Lindner coached two-time All-American Erin Ham, ’09, and also coached Allegheny swimmers to 25 NCAA “B” cut times and two “A” cut times.
While Lindner was coaching, 12 varsity records were broken, including this past season’s 200-yard breaststroke record, which was broken by Mirno Pasquali, ’12.
The Athletic Department already began searching for a replacement for next season.
