A preliminary court hearing took place for a former Allegheny student facing drug charges at approximately 10:30 a.m. today, in front of Magisterial District Judge Samuel Pendolino.
The hearing adjourned at approximately 11:07 a.m., and the case will be scheduled in the Crawford County Common Pleas Court.
The former student, Sophie Foreman, ’22, was arrested on the night of Aug. 31 at Meadville Medical Center’s Grove Street building and charged with four felony counts of manufacture with intent to deliver a controlled substance, among other drug charges. According to Eli Provost of Meadville Police Department, Foreman said she had been awake for six days at the time of the arrest.
