On Wednesday, Feb. 17, U.S. Representative Kathy Dahlkemper visited Allegheny College’s campus to speak about the pertinent issue of cybersecurity threats. The press conference, which was held in Pelletier Library, was attended by college administrators and local business leaders who are looking to work together to combat cybersecurity hazards. Dahlkemper, a Democrat and member of the House Committee on Science and Technology, came to campus to present and answer questions about her proposal to amend the Cybersecurity Enhancement Act, which, according to GoErie.com, will “allow for collaboration between community colleges, universities and Manufacturing Extension Partnership Centers.”
