I take from the piece above that the young man is a member of the PRIVATE ORGANIZATION and, therefore, is entitled to have his voice heard. (Way to say it, Scout. Be proud.)

Great editorial. I hope this piece makes it all the way to the top. Way to stand up for your convictions. Ignore those who are ignorant, bigoted and homophobic. Haters gonna hate. (History supports your position, BTW. As did many groups/organizations, the Boy Scouts of America once discriminated against the disabled, blacks (and other minorities), women, non-Christians and others.) The BSA evolved because, at the end of the day, good people are involved. I am glad to see you are among them. It’s just a matter of time before they see that ending their homophobic policy is the way to go. Keep on ’em!

They’re a Christian organization. They’re merely upholding their spiritual doctrine against the onslaught of secularism. Is that such a crime?

Pedophile enabler? Since when is advocating for equality been enabling pedophilia? Have you ever thought that maybe more than 3% of America is gay but some people are too afraid to come out of the closet because of bigots like you? You disgust me. I would be more afraid of the closet rapists in Catholic churches than homosexual Boy Scout leaders.

I really wish that the Boy Scouts would not change their minds.
