Once a discerning consumer of media moves beyond the limiting philosophy of Objectivism, he may realize that binary thinking does not lend itself to higher-order analysis. Bias is not necessarily an insidious and unfair tactic – particularly in the realm of opinion articles – but rather a fundamental step in the process of forming rational, coherent, and legitimate judgments about the world, which emerge from factual observation, thoughtful analysis, and firm conclusion.

Also, it doesn’t take a liberal to observe that Reimer embarrassed herself and her movement. Even libertarians and Tea Party supporters on campus were pretty disappointed with her uninformed and belligerent presentation.

@Roger Smith – This article is filed under “opinion” – it is not “news” – news is objective, opinion is just that, opinion. If you read the news section of the Campus you will find that all the reporters are very diligent about objectivity when writing news stories. Opinion: anything goes.

Well it sounds like another liberal article. You can always
tell when you read a one sided article or blog if its liberal or
conservative. Why can’t reporters, journalist and bloggers write
without slanting the view one way or another. Let the reader come
to its on conclusion. I don’t read anything here but hate for the
    Tea Party.

Did you decide to direct your invective towards Ms. Reimer before or after she began to speak? Don’t condemn others’ intolerance while excusing your own.

Yes, the fact Reimer stated their was essentially no relation with the Republican, when Michelle Bachmann (who is the head of the Tea Party Caucus), is a member of the Republican party, shows her ignorance to the truth, or her poor attempts to try and present the Tea party (falsely) as an independent movement.

We are viewing a strain of those members vote against Boehner right now, but those are being called more the actions of ‘wild eyed bomb-throwers’ (as Boehner called them), not a new movement.

To be quite honest, I don’t understand why this woman was even given a forum to spout her and her “movement’s” stupidity.
